Introduction
SubPlan is a youth soccer coaching app from Oakbright Labs LLC. It helps coaches organize teams, players, games, substitutions, lineups, and playing time. This policy describes the app's storage, synchronization, purchase, and sharing features.
Information you enter
SubPlan stores information you enter or create while using the app. This may include:
- Team names and descriptions
- Team and game settings
- Player names
- Jersey numbers and player positions
- Opponent and home/away information
- Event dates and manually entered event locations
- Game and practice information
- Injury, absence, late arrival, and left-early status
- Lineup rotations and assignments
- Live game clock times, substitutions, and minutes played
- Playing-time rules you choose for a game
- Private player ability rankings
- Information from which participation and playing time can be determined
Player ability rankings are visible only to you inside the app. They are not included in PDF reports or shared exports.
Event locations are text you enter yourself. SubPlan does not use your device's Location Services to obtain them.
How information is stored
SubPlan uses Apple's SwiftData technology to store its persistent app information on your device. Some app preferences are stored locally on your device as well.
Oakbright Labs does not operate its own backend server or database for SubPlan team and player information.
iCloud synchronization
SubPlan normally uses your private iCloud/CloudKit database to synchronize SwiftData information across your Apple devices. It does not configure a public or shared CloudKit database. Synchronization uses Apple's services and your Apple/iCloud account, and requires network connectivity. Apple may send SubPlan silent background notifications so it knows when synced data has changed. These notifications come from Apple, are never displayed, and are not sent by Oakbright Labs.
If SubPlan cannot create its iCloud-enabled data store, it falls back to local-only storage. SubPlan does not require a separate SubPlan or Oakbright Labs account or login.
How information is used
Information in SubPlan is used to provide its coaching features, including organizing teams, players, games and practices, lineups, substitutions, absences, injuries, and participation or playing time. When iCloud synchronization is available, the information is also used to keep your app data in sync across your Apple devices.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, SubPlan schedules local alerts on your device during a live game, such as when it is time to make a substitution or when a half ends. These alerts are created and delivered by your device. They are not sent from an Oakbright Labs server and do not include player names.
You can turn SubPlan notifications off at any time in your device's Settings. Live games still work without them; you just will not be alerted while the phone is locked.
Subscriptions
SubPlan offers Free and Pro tiers. Pro is available through monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscriptions using Apple's StoreKit 2 and App Store services. Apple handles purchases and payment processing. SubPlan does not send purchase receipts or subscription information to an Oakbright Labs backend.
Third-party services
SubPlan uses Apple's SwiftData, iCloud/CloudKit, and StoreKit/App Store technologies for the functions described above. The audited app implementation includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK and no custom backend or account service.

Data sharing and advertising
Oakbright Labs does not sell SubPlan user data. SubPlan does not use user information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. The app does not use advertising identifiers or Apple's AppTrackingTransparency framework.
Apple's iCloud/CloudKit and App Store services process information for synchronization and subscriptions as described in this policy. PDFs you choose to share or save outside the app are handled by the destination you select.
Children's information
SubPlan is designed for coaches. Information a coach enters about a player may relate to a minor. Coaches and other users are responsible for the player information they choose to enter into SubPlan.
Data retention and deletion
App information may be stored locally on your device and, when iCloud synchronization is available, in your private iCloud/CloudKit database. How long that information remains depends on your use of the app, the app's behavior, and Apple's iCloud behavior.

Security
SubPlan relies on Apple's platform technologies for local storage and private iCloud/CloudKit synchronization. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
